ABOUT

It can be difficult for both adoptees and adoptive parents to manage and process the loss of anonymity that adoption brings. From second glances to outright stares and from "innocent" questions to outright hostility, your children will need your help to make sense of always being hyper-visible in society.

Our team will cover the following:

  • Understanding microaggressions in the context of race
  • Recognizing microaggressions in daily life
  • Supporting your child in responding to microaggressions
  • Building resilience and fostering cultural pride

This interactive session will also provide a space for parents to ask questions from our professional team and seek support from other families.
