Directions

  1. If travelling from Ottery, drive south down New Strandfontein Road.
  2. Carry on driving south past the Pick n Pay Local Lotus River.
  3. Turn east at the big robots, onto 11th Avenue / Oliboom Road.
  4. Pass a tarred road on your right. You want to get onto the eastern side of The Children's Library. Pass some shacks on your right, with some black speed bumps on the road (that probably have no white paint markings). Take the second road right, whereby the tarred road turns into a gravel road.
  5. Shacks will be on your right, and some patches of open grass and rubbish will be all around. The Children's Library is a big building made out of rocks and concrete, and is about five metres tall, so you should be able to see it popping up above the shacks on the right.
  6. Turn right just after the second block of concrete toilets, into the light brown gravel driveway. This is an acute turn, going behind the block of concrete toilets.
  7. You should enter a large, flat, dusty parking lot from the eastern side of the building.
  8. This is a fairly safe area, and you can go inside The Children's Library through the front door. It is beautiful and big inside, with lots of plants, high walls, electricity, toilets, and is dry inside the rooms.
