Come join us for a morning of arts, crafts, friends and fun!
The Cape Town Craft Club is excited to announce the Cape Town Kids Art Club, a regular art class held monthly at The Children's Studio. Children aged 3 to 10 are invited to enjoy a morning of artistic exploration with us: Andie and Bev.
From discovering new techniques to exploring new materials, our gentle guidance is here to help them unlock their inner artist and let their creativity soar
For this month's Kids Art Club, we're diving into the wonderful world of clay and Plaster of Paris to create beautiful moulds inspired by and with the help of nature. We will also be painting, drawing and playing fun-filled art games.
This workshop is led by Andie Reeves and Bev Schneider, two Montessori-trained educators with years of experience in guiding children to find their inner artist. Together their Montessori background imbues these workshops with principles of independence, respect, and hands-on learning, along with a huge emphasis on having fun and developing a love for art and making!
Cape Town Kids Art Club takes place at The Children's Studio in Harfield Village where children will make their incredible art in the sunny and spacious studio, and enjoy a breaktime in the playground. This is a drop-and-go event and you can rest assured that your children will be safe, busy and happy for three hours.
What to expect:
-Explore techniques from sewing and weaving to painting and drawing
-Discover a range of materials, from repurposed recyclables to elements found in nature
-An emphasis on each child’s unique style: no cookie-cutter crafts!
-A supportive and encouraging environment where every artist leaves with a sense of pride and accomplishment
