Step into the world of Antarctic exploration with master storyteller Rob Caskie as he shares the incredible story of the Nimrod Expedition of 1907-1909, led by Ernest Shackleton. Despite facing numerous challenges, Shackleton's team achieved the "Furthest South" record, reaching a latitude of 88°23'S.
During the expedition, a case of Mackinlay's Rare Old Highland Malt Whisky was stashed beneath the hut at Cape Royds, creating an intriguing tale of adventure and discovery. Exactly 100 years later, in 2007, the whisky was discovered, generating enormous interest worldwide.
