Ithemba Lami Foundation

Ithemba Lami is a nonprofit agency looking to provide mentoring programs for the less 

fortunate youth in the Kingdom of Eswatini. The aim of Ithemba Lami is to conjoin with local 

orphanages,care points and the destitute that are nowhere near any care point or orphanage.. 

Ithemba Lami’s goal is to foster a commitment to young people that will promote pro-social 

friendships, strong interpersonal skills, food, clothing, just to name a few. All basically 

to reassert a sense of hope in the future. Only through personal relationships can a sense of 

individual responsibility be reestablished that will give youth the commitment to follow through 

on path to adulthood with a sense of pride and accomplishment.

Through repeated failures in the country and the development of destructive habits, at-risk young 

people have lost faith in the possibilities that await them if they are successful in putting their 

lives together. To accomplish this goal, young people must be in a caring, inclusive learning 

environment that promotes their best effort and reinforces personal respect.

Ithemba Lami will focus primarily on middle/teen headed families school youths. This age group 

is particularly more fragile and a perfect time for mentoring to be effective. We will also focus 

on the minors of the country as they are our future.

Over time, Ithemba Lami is looking to create/and or retrieve assistance from generous donors, a

learning environment that will be an invaluable resource to young people, aspiring mentors and the community at large.
