ABOUT
Otherwise Comedy Nights is a Premium Stand-up Comedy showcase in the heart of the V&A Waterfront, Cape Town. Featuring the finest stand-up comedians from across South Africa and the world, hosted at a premium restaurant and cocktail bar Sí Cantina Sociale, in the famous Silo District of the Waterfront. The shows were consecutively sold out in 2022, we are back with a bang in 2023!
On Thursday, 30th of March 2023, we feature the phenomenal Robby Collins, originally from Durban, is an Emmy-nominated stand-up comedian and writer having opened for both Trevor Noah and Dave Chappelle. Robby is recently back in the country having spent some time in New York performing stand-up comedy at the New York Comedy Festival. Also on the line-up we feature the trail blazing Mbali Gudazi, having started comedy in 2017 she has swiftly risen to prominence gaining a nomination at the South African Comics Choice Awards for Newcomer of the Year 2023. She is definitely one to look out for in the future. The show is hosted by our very own resident host Vafa Naraghi (@vafafrica), an influential young stand-up comedian making waves on the stand-up comedy scene. Vafa has recently been nominated for 3 x Comics Choice Awards 2023, with the award ceremony taking place next month. Be sure to keep your eyes on that.
