Frank Paco’s impressive career includes highlights such as 46664 Mandela AIDS concert performing with some of the world’s great musicians such as the legendary Bryan May of the band “Queen”, Bono, Jimmy Cliff, Angelique Kidjo, Johnny Clegg and Peter Gabriel.
Throughout his career he has had the honor of performing with the greatest SA acts such as Miriam Makeba, Hugh Masekela, Jonathan Buttler, Sakhile, Sheer all Stars, Jimmy Dludlu, Sibongile Khumalo, Brenda Fassie, Freshly Ground, Beatenberg, to name a few….. Other International acts include Ronny Jordan, Nat Adderly Jr. Ananda Project, Monique Bingham amongst others…
Frank has led Tucan Tucan band and produced two albums with this outfit.
He has collaborated with various International outfits such as JAV an Indian Ocean collaboration, with David Bäck’s World Music Culture Club from Sweden, with Uhambo with Ida Gormsen (Denmark), Hildegunn Oiseth (Norway) Camillo Lombard ( SA) to name a few…
Co-founded great bands such as VJR led by Ian Smith with Sammy Webber and Andrew Ford, and Loading Zone with John Hassan, Lucas Khumalo, Jimmy Dludlu, Jaco Maria and Stix Hojeng.
Frank has produced Two albums as a solo artist “Buyanini” and “New Horizon” in which his unique musical experience fuses sounds from the West, East, Central and Southern Africa with pulsating rhythms and melodic tones, infused with harmonic nuances and fired up with Jazz improvisation, this is what the project has to offer as it continually thrives, reinventing the delivery of it’s unique musical experience.
