Pink Room at the Gorgeous George Hotel
ABOUT
Bae Electronica and With Love The Agency invite you to a panel discussion and mixer on the power of mentorship in the music industry. It's been two months since we launched the Raise The Bar Mentorship Programme, and we're eager to share insights and spark conversations on how mentorship and internships can promote diversity and inclusion in the music industry.
During a panel moderated by journalist Shiba Mazaza, creator of the program Jackie Queens, Jarrad Treger, whose creative agency Jet Black is an internship partner, and Treyvone Moo, activist and South African ballroom icon, will discuss how women and gender minorities benefit from access to resources and networks in the music industry, and the importance of creating spaces and initiatives for this purpose.
RTB intern and DJ, Zazmoney will curate music after the discussion for you to enjoy and commune with us :)
The Raise The Bar Programme is in partnership with the Music In Africa Foundation. The project is developed as part of the Music In Africa Live program, which is supported by the German Federal Foreign Office, Siemens Stiftung, and Goethe-Institute. Additional support for the event is provided by the Ballantines True Music Fund and the Gorgeous George Hotel.
Tickets cost R50, and proceeds will be donated to shesaid.so South Africa, a nonprofit that promotes diversity in music.
