How we can be the change we want to see in the world? Discussion & Talks

Sat Oct 1, 15:00 - Sat Oct 1, 16:30

Steiner Centre at Michael Mount Waldorf School

ABOUT

We will take a real circumstance in life today and approach it in such a way, backed by spiritual scientific concepts, that it would lead our everyday thinking of us, as individuals, into seeing how this problem can be dealt with/approached, so that a real solution becomes visible to us.

We will attempt to feel ourselves as the ‘medium’ of the future. This experience can then become a first stone in the building of a Gateway to a new way of being that leads to a transformed social life.

As part of the Gateway Initiative, we will offer more of these sessions followed by practice, review and then adding another stone so that we become visible as the Gateway to a social ‘solution’ to the world.

Anthroposophical concepts used and applied in everyday life are what is required. We will endeavour to develop this competence in ourselves as a group of people, as a branch of the Anthroposophical Society, with the aim to become visual and a Gateway to others searching.

More about our Facilitator David Wertheim Aymes:

“I was born in Johannesburg in 1961 to aspirant Anthroposophists I guess. I went to Michael Mount in its earliest formats until the end of Class 7. I then went to a private school, did my military service, trained and qualified as a CA(SA). I worked as an Articled Clerk for a large accounting firm before being a Banker with the IDC for three and a half years. I was then delivered into the precast concrete industry where I was presented with the opportunity and challenge to see what I could do with my life and the world. I am still actively involved on a daily basis with what is now the leading supplier in its field. Along the way I wanted to be conscious of how this was possible and how it was becoming. It is bits and pieces of this that I offer to share. I am married to Chandre’. We have three surviving children all taking care of themselves and their lives in different but self-supporting ways.”
