The Bloemfontein Philharmonic Orchestra (BPO) is proud to announce its first performance of the season at the Univeritas Geloofsentrum on the 15th of April at 19:30. This eagerly anticipated event is set to be an evening of exceptional music featuring the works of the legendary composer, Antonio Vivaldi.

This year's programme promises to be one of the most exciting yet, with the orchestra showcasing the incredible talent of its musicians. Audiences can look forward to a wide range of Vivaldi's compositions, from his powerful Concerto for Marimba in C, performed by the talented Maritsa Barlow, to the beautiful Concerto in B-flat, featuring the impressive trumpet and violin duo of Paul van Zuilenburg and Sharon de Kock.

One of the highlights of the evening will undoubtedly be the stunning arias from Vivaldi's Gloria, performed by the renowned soprano Mathilde Thom Wium. The audience will be treated to her powerful and emotive voice, which has captivated audiences around the world.

The orchestra will also perform the Concerto for Flute in D, featuring the talented Marie du Buisson on flute. Her artistry on this beautiful instrument is not to be missed, as she brings to life the intricate and delicate melodies of Vivaldi's music.
