The Red Carpet Double Album Launch for Moses Sakala and Angela Nyirenda at the The Music Club at East Park Mall, Lusaka. The two renowned Zambian artists are set to release and launch their latest blockbusting albums entitled “Amigo” and “Boma Iyanganepo” respectively. The launch theme “Spirit of Zambezi” recognizes Zambia’s foundation, culture and principles. It identifies with the oneness and interlink of the Zambezi river, the source of the name Zambia. Inspired by the attributes of the Great Zambezi River.
The country’s rich history and cultural base has greatly inspired Moses Sakala and Angela Nyirenda’s new projects that aim to contribute to Zambia’s social and economic development through songs that remind the citizenry to be patriotic. They do so creatively through the distinctive Makewane music genre which is a traditional and contemporary Zambian rhythm.
Moses has over 30 has over 30 years of experience in the Music industry having started out in the Sakala Brothers duet. He is the co-founder of a music genre called Makewane. He is a song writer, a singer, a master drummer and a producer.
Angela has a stellar 18 years of sweet lingering melodies, she is the biggest female recording and performing artist in Zambia’s history. She has created record album sales, huge concert audiences and has earned greater admiration across the ethnic, gender and generational divides.
They have combined experiences of performing in Africa, America, Europe and Asia!
