Ntsika's Funds

About

Ntsika is 21 years old, he came to work at our restaurant as a dishwasher. Never complain never ask for anything. He is a third year student and is doing well. All the money that he earns by washing dishes, is sent home to his mom and siblings. He battles to keep electricity on and food on his own table. Two weeks ago he got a call to say his mom was taken to hospital as she was very sick, we gave him his salary upfront so that he could go home. I spoke to him asking how it was going and he said not good and there is no food at home for any of them, he was crying whilst he told me this, I managed to get R300 together and ewallet this to him. He was so greatful. Then this kid phones me 3 days later and says his mom is doing ok but he is not coming back to finish his studies as he does not have taxi money and everybody around him is poor and cannot help with money. I had along chat with him and told him he cannot give it all up now, he has only one more year to go, I send him my petrol money for the week just so that he can get home and promised him that I will make sure that he has something to eat every day. I told him he could still work for two full weeks before we close for the holidays and earn some money for christmas. He was back two days, on the day that he had to write his last exam, they called from home to say that his mommy passed away. 5 siblings were at home with very little, his uncle came to fetch him that night after he wrote his exam (this must have been so difficult for him) and he went home. I just want to give this beautiful young man and his siblings a lovely christmas, where there is food on the table and a little gift for everyone. I want them to not have the hurt of loosing a mommy and be happy. Next year Ntsika promised me he is coming back and I will do whatever I can to feed him and give him a job so that he can earn some money, maybe somebody can help with a grocery voucher or some cash so that we can help this family, the siblings are all looking at Ntsika to make thing right I am crying whilst I am writing this as I do not have the means to look after them myself but with a little help from the community we can put smiles on 6 young people who will otherwise have a miserable christmas. Please open your hearts and lets make this a time to remember for this family. God bless you
