Rainhill Summer Fest 21

The vibrant 5km Colour Run/Walk caters to everyone (6 years and older), from first-time runners to seasoned athletes. There are no winners or official times, just friends, family, fun and COLOURS!

The Colour Run is powered by Rustenburg High School and the proceeds of the Colour Run go to benefit the Lighthouse Children's Home.

Here's what you need to know before you sign up:

TIMES:

• The Rainhill Farm Gates open at 05h30. Please ensure that you arrive early to park and check-in for the run.
• All participants must check-in for the run at 06h00.
• The run will start at 06h30.

PARTICIPATION FEE:

• The cost is R50 per person. Kindly note: This does not include entry into the Rainhill Summer Fest - entry must be purchased separately.

EVENT DETAILS:

• Your Colour Run entry includes 1 packet of colour dust, and 1 bottle of water. Additional packets of colour dust may be purchased before the race.
• Marshalls on the run are there for your safety, and their instructions are to be adhered to at all times.
• Please remember that hats, sunscreen and appropriate running or walking shoes are essential.
• No animals or prams will be allowed on the run.

Powered by CrossFit ACA, the route on the day includes a 4.7km run, followed by a variety of exciting obstacle course challenges for you to navigate. It's a time challenge, so lace up tight and show us what you've got!

Here's what you need to know before you sign up:

• TIMES:There are two sessions; Morning 08h30 - 11h30 and Afternoon 13h00 - 16h00.Heats will commence every 14 minutes with 10 people participating per heat.Please report to the CrossFit ACA tent on arrival; they will advise at which time you will start the course

COURSE FEE:

• The course fee is R250 per person. This includes entry into the Rainhill Summer Fest.

EVENT DETAILS:

• This is an individual event.
• The course includes a 4.7km run, followed by the obstacle course.
• A maximum of 10 people will partake in each heat.
• The time of the first competitor who completes the course in each heat will be recorded for a chance to beat the existing record time set by a CrossFit athlete.
• Once commencing, no competitor will be allowed to redo or restart due to injury or other, not will a refund be permitted.The first athlete to each obstacle has the first option to complete that objective.
• Marshalls on the course are there for your safety, and their instructions are to be adhered to at all times.
• All competitors will be required to sign an idemnity form.

The Rainhill Summer Fest brings you Rustenburg's most beautiful outdoor market! Since 2011 the Rainhill Market has established its reputation as the home of all that is unique, homemade, homegrown and home-baked.

Saunter down the bluegum avenue and explore all our community of vendors has to offer. There will be a wonderful selection, and true to the tradition of community markets, our vendors love to chat to their customers; to get to know you all and let you know more about their products.

Around the market grassy seating can be found under the trees, around the Duck Pond, and amidst the gardens - here you can watch your children play or simply relax on the lawn whilst listening to the best local music. You’ll be hard pressed to find a better way to spend a Saturday!

Great news! The team from global 'playducation' specialists, Sherpa Kids, will be hosting the vibrant Summer Fest Kidz Play Zone! This supervised zone will be a safe and fun environment for children aged 4-11 years, and will offer a host of exciting and engaging activities for our young visitors to the Summer Fest.

Entry to the Play Zone costs R50 per child.

Terms, Conditions and Indemnity

Please familiarise yourself with the below terms, conditions and indemnity statement for the Rainhill Summer Fest 2021 and the associated events taking place:

• I undertake to participate entirely at my own risk.
• I agree that I shall have no claims whatsoever against the organising body, any individuals, organiser or official, marshal, assistant, helper or agent, the sponsors, any local authority or land owners, in respect of any loss or damage whatsoever I may suffer arising from any injury to my person or loss or damage to property as a result of, or arising out of, whether directly or indirectly, my participation in this event, including my arrival and departure therefrom and attendance of any ceremony and function thereof, however such loss or damage may arise and regardless of whether or not same shall have been caused directly or indirectly by negligence, of one or more or all of the aforementioned parties.
• In the event of my approval of participation as a guardian of a minor, I hereby consent to such minor being bound by the foregoing and further, I indemnify the aforementioned parties to the extent, if any, to which such minor is not capable of waiving his rights as stipulated within. I agree to participate subject to rules including any penalties provided for therein.
• By entering, I agree to email and SMS communications from The Farmyard on Rainhill Farm and event organisers, regarding event details.
• I have read the above indemnity and the rules. I understand them and shall abide by them.

Refunds & Substitutions:

The Farmyard on Rainhill Farm adheres to the standard industry policy:

• All entry fees are non-refundable. This policy stays in effect whether you are injured, have an unexpected business or family emergency, etc. – there are no exceptions.
• Entry substitutions are allowed. Participants must have written proof from the person whose entry they are taking over, plus a copy of this participant’s ID. Substitutions must be sent to [email protected] by 12h00 on the day preceding the event.
