ABOUT

Welcome to Swimming 101!


We are keen on getting as many people as we can interested in, familiar with & safer when it come to water. Most importantly we want everyone to enjoy the many pleasures that come with the water. If you only learn how to enjoy your holiday more, then we are greatly satisfied. There are more of these Swimming 101 events planned for this year (2021) & beyond.

We decided to add in some vibes with markets & live music planned for the duration of the day.


Aims of the Workshop


1.     Learn the behaviours of water (how to respond)

2.     Basic water rescue - How to keep yourself and others safe.

3.     Learn 4/7 Core Aquatics Skills needed for swimming.


  • Entries, Exits & Aquatic Breathing
  • Balance & Buoyancy (Floating)
  • Streamlining
  • Travel & Co-ordination

4.     Enjoy new experiences wherever you encounter water with your new skill set.


Tickets from R300.00 per swimmer.

Swimmers will be learning/training for 3 hours (09h00 - 12h00). Swimmer tickets grant access to stage after pool session to enjoy local music.

Swimmers may purchase tickets for a spectator for "security", "media" or plane old company.


The market day will however run from 09h00 -15h00.

Live music begins at 12h00.

There will be live music. Those who want to attend as music enthusiasts are welcome tickets from R100.00.

Artist Line up.

Artist line up will be posted on social medias along with times of their performance.

Market goers are welcome. R50.00 per person entering the venue, with access to stalls only.


Should you wish to join us by hiring a stand area for your business. 100% deposit required to book 3 x 3m area on the school field.

Stand Tickets R200.00 for the day. Due to Covid regulations and pax limit at venues a max of 3 employees at each stall.


No Alcohol or narcotics may be sold or used/consumed at this event.


Venue is Covid Compliant under the Disaster Management Act.

Masks are to be worn on entry and exiting from the event. Strict social distancing measures will be maintained while masks are off in the pool. Chlorine kills 99% of viruses & bacteria.
