Hout Bay Seal Rescue Centre NPC

About

Did you know that pup seals cannot swim for the first 4 months of their lives? This means that if they get washed off the rocks or a storm approaches, they will drown unless rescued and rehabilitated.

This unfortunately happens more than you think.

Seals get caught up in litter, plastic bags, and fishing lines which can cause serious injury and even death.

That’s why our Seal rescue and rehabilitation efforts amount to around the clock care, in order to look after these animals.

We always have a staff member on-site to assist seals no matter what the time of day or night.

Lockdown has effected the donations to our NPO and our team really needs your help to ensure that we can continue with the work that we are doing at the Hout Bay Seal Rescue Centre.

We require assistance with resources like fish, pup milk, antibiotics and other medicines to ensure that these animals are cared for optimally and can continue to grow from strength to strength.

Please consider supporting us with a donation to help us look after these precious animals who cannot fend for themselves - however big or small the donation - it all makes a difference.

We are reaching out to you for the support of our NPC to assist in caring for the wonderful seals and their pups of the Cape.
