ABOUT

The Phyllis Jowell Mishloach Manot are truly legendary! Each year people all over Cape Town and beyond eagerly await to see the creative and value-filled packages the PJ PTA put together. The giving of Mishloach Manot to friends, family and neighbours is one of the primary mitzvot of Purim and this act serves to strengthen bonds of care and friendship that underpin strong communities.

  • Each Mishloach Manot sells for R120 each
  • Early Bird Special of R110 each, before 10 February 2021

The Mishloach Manot project is the PTA’s main fundraiser and the proceeds raised from this project allow us to make vital upgrades to our beautiful school. In previous years such funds have provided shade-cloths over the play areas, projectors in classrooms, and Chromebooks for our Primary School classes. This year we will continue to invest in IT educational infrastructure which has proven to be so critical given the needs of Online Teaching and Learning in the current circumstances.

We thank you for supporting this special project and for your continued support of our school.

Charity Bundles

As part of this project, we also organize for our Mishloach Manot to be given to members of our community who otherwise may not receive Mishloach Manot on Purim: the residents of Glendale, Oranjia, Rosecourt and Highlands House as well as those community members supported by Tikvah and Jewish Communal Services. We seek generous donors to partner with us to reach our target of providing 400 Mishloach Manot to these vulnerable members in our community by sponsoring a bundle of 10 Mishloach Manot. Please email the PTA should you wish to contribute to this chessed project: [email protected]
